Dr. Mark S. Feder is the founder of Norwalk Eye Care and has been in private practice in Norwalk CT since 1983. Dr Feder graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton with a B.A. in Biology, and earned his Doctorate from the State University of New York College of Optometry in New York City.
Dr. Feder is a member of the American Optometric Association, the CT Association of Optometrists and the Board of Trustees at the State University of New York College of Optometry. He has been a member of the Sports Vision and Contact Lens Sections of the American Optometric Association, the International Academy of Sports Vision, and is the Chairman and founder of IDOC, an Independent Group of Optometric Physicians with over 3000 members across the United States.
Dr. Feder is on the advisory board of several contact lens and pharmaceutical companies. He has conducted numerous clinical studies on Contact Lenses and published several journal articles on various aspects of eye care. He is a consultant to many companies in the Ophthalmic industry and is a frequent lecturer on Contact Lenses and Practice Management.
Dr. Jennifer Stewart is a partner at Norwalk Eye Care. She is originally from the Hudson Valley, NY, and received her Bachelor of Science from Marist College. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA, Her professional interests and specialties include sports and performance vision, dry eye management, multifocal contact lens fitting, and medical eye care.
She is a member of many professional organizations including the American Optometric Association and the Connecticut Association of Optometrists. She has been a contributor to Optometric Office, Optometry Times, Fast OD, Vision Care Product News and Optometric Management,. Her work has also been featured in New OD, Contact Lens Spectrum and Women in Optometry. She has served as a consultant for Coopervision and Johnson and Johnson Vision Care. She is also a Board Member for the Sports and Performance Vision Council of the American Optometric Association.
While at NECO, Dr. Stewart founded the Sports and Performance Vision Club. She also served as a consultant to the Worldwide Performance Vision Council, a group of doctors dedicated to developing new methods of testing and training athletes, most recently Olympic athletes. Dr. Stewart has had the opportunity to work with athletes from the Miami Dolphins NFL team, the US Olympic Track and Field team, the NY Knicks Basketball team, the Danbury Westerners minor league baseball team, various Boston College athletic teams, and Special Olympic athletes. She is also a member of The A Team, High Performance Vision Associates, a nationwide team of doctors specializing in sports and performance vision and training.
Dr Stewart is also the co-founder and Chief Optometric Officer at Performance 20/20, a practice specializing in sports and performance vision. Performance 20/20 helps athletes improve reaction, anticipation, timing, eye/hand coordination, focusing, attention and decision making. Dr Stewart and her team have worked with youth, elite, college and professional athletes of all sports to improve their performance. Dr. Stewart has been named The Next Generation of Leadership, as well as A Rising Star by Vision Monday. She was also voted the Best Eye Doctor in Fairfield County by The Fairfield County Weekly, and one of The Top 40 Under 40 by the Fairfied County Business Journal.
In her spare time, Dr. Stewart trains for and competes in triathlons and road races. She was a Division 1 college athlete, and still holds two college track and field school records.
Dr. Danielle P. Goldberg is originally from Weston, Connecticut, and obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester with a Bachelors of Arts in Biology and Psychology and a minor in Art History. She earned her Doctorate degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA where she was selected to participate in an Accelerated Clinical Immersion Program and was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. In 2015 she earned recognition at the American Academy of Optometry national conference for her superior academic and clinical performance.
Dr. Goldberg is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Connecticut Association of Optometrists. She has extensive experience in glaucoma treatment, dry eye management, pediatric and binocular vision disorders, and cataract co-management. Dr. Goldberg’s training includes internships at Boston University Medical Center, VA Hospitals in West Haven, CT and Boston, MA and at Perkins School for the Blind in Boston. She also trained at a prestigious ophthalmology practice in Miami, Florida specializing in glaucoma treatment and ocular disease. Prior to earning her Doctorate, Dr. Goldberg spent two years working at one of New York City’s premier pediatric ophthalmology practices specializing in strabismus and amblyopia.
At Norwalk Eye Care, Dr. Goldberg sees patients of all ages for comprehensive eye exams, medical eye care, and contact lens examinations. When not providing patient care, Dr. Goldberg enjoys running, yoga and traveling (having visited 22 countries so far). She is also a passionate skier and loves a great powder day!
Dr. Danielle J. Feder joined Norwalk Eye Care in 2017 and is originally from Westport, Connecticut. She graduated cum laude from the University of Richmond with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Medical Business and earned her Doctorate degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry in New York City.
While at SUNY, Dr. Feder helped found the Connecticut Student Optometric Association (CTSOA) and was an active member of the Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity where she traveled to Panama to provide eye exams to patients in need. Today, Dr. Feder is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Connecticut Association of Optometrists and the New York State Optometric Association. She has extensive training in glaucoma treatment, diagnosis and management of diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy, pediatric and binocular vision disorders and vision therapy. Dr. Feder’s training includes externships at Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, East New York Diagnostic and Treatment Center, and Ezra Medical and Mental Health Center specializing in pediatrics and vision therapy.
Dr. Feder is excited to join her father at Norwalk Eye Care and also works part time in a New York City office. She sees patients of all ages for comprehensive full scope medical exams, contact lens fittings, prescribing glasses, and pre/post operative cataract exams. When not in the office Dr. Feder enjoys snowboarding, spinning classes, and has a passion for traveling and discovering the outdoors!
