Dr. Mark Feder, founder and managing partner of Norwalk Eye Care in Norwalk, Connecticut, has extensive experience in all aspects of Primary Eye Care. He has a long-standing reputation in the community, specializing in difficult contact lens fittings, cataract and lasik surgery consultations and helping improve the overall vision of his patients.
Dr. Feder graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton with a Bachelor of Arts in biology and earned his Doctor of Optometry from the State University of New York College of Optometry in New York City.
Dr. Feder is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Connecticut Association of Optometrists, and is on the Board of Trustees at the State University of New York College of Optometry. He’s been a long-time member of the Sports Vision and Contact Lens Sections of the American Optometric Association and the International Academy of Sports Vision and is the founder and former Chairman of IDOC, an Independent Group of Optometric Physicians with over 3,000 members across the United States.
Dr. Feder has been on the advisory board of several contact lens and pharmaceutical companies. He has conducted numerous clinical studies on contact lenses and published several journal articles on various aspects of eye care. He is a consultant to many companies in the ophthalmic industry and is a frequent lecturer on contact lenses and practice management.
Dr. Jennifer Stewart, is an accomplished optometrist and partner at Norwalk Eye Care located in Norwalk, Connecticut. Dr. Stewart’s professional interests and specialties include sports and performance vision, dry eye management, multifocal contact lens fitting, and medical eye care.
Originally from the Hudson Valley, Dr. Stewart received her Bachelor of Science from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York, and earned her Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry (NECO) in Boston, Massachusetts. She is a member of many professional organizations including the American Optometric Association and the Connecticut Association of Optometrists. She has been a contributor to Optometric Office, Optometry Times, Vision Care Product News, and Optometric Management. Her work has also been featured in New OD, Contact Lens Spectrum, and Women in Optometry.
Dr. Stewart is also the co-founder and Chief Vision Officer at Performance 20/20, a practice specializing in sports and performance vision in Stamford, Connecticut. Performance 20/20 helps athletes improve reaction, anticipation, timing, eye/hand coordination, focusing, attention, and decision making.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Stewart has served as a consultant for Coopervision and Johnson and Johnson Vision Care. Among her accolades, Dr. Stewart has been named The Next Generation of Leadership, as well as A Rising Star by Vision Monday. She was also voted the Best Eye Doctor in Fairfield County by The Fairfield County Weekly, and one of The Top 40 Under 40 by the Fairfield County Business Journal. She was awarded the Theia Award for Innovation for her work in sports and performance vision by Women in Optometry in 2019.
In her spare time, Dr. Stewart trains for and competes in triathlons, cycling races and olympic weightlifting. She was a Division 1 college athlete, and still holds two college track and field school records.
Dr. Danielle P. Goldberg is originally from Weston, Connecticut, and obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester with a Bachelors of Arts in Biology and Psychology and a minor in Art History. She earned her Doctorate degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA where she was selected to participate in an Accelerated Clinical Immersion Program and was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. In 2015 she earned recognition at the American Academy of Optometry national conference for her superior academic and clinical performance.
Dr. Goldberg is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Connecticut Association of Optometrists. She has extensive experience in glaucoma treatment, dry eye management, pediatric and binocular vision disorders, and cataract co-management. Dr. Goldberg’s training includes internships at Boston University Medical Center, VA Hospitals in West Haven, CT and Boston, MA and at Perkins School for the Blind in Boston. She also trained at a prestigious ophthalmology practice in Miami, Florida specializing in glaucoma treatment and ocular disease. Prior to earning her Doctorate, Dr. Goldberg spent two years working at one of New York City’s premier pediatric ophthalmology practices specializing in strabismus and amblyopia.
At Norwalk Eye Care, Dr. Goldberg sees patients of all ages for comprehensive eye exams, medical eye care, and contact lens examinations. When not providing patient care, Dr. Goldberg enjoys running, yoga and traveling (having visited 23 countries so far). She is also a passionate skier and loves a great powder day!
Born and raised in Fairfield County, Connecticut, Dr. Danielle J. Feder joined the team at Norwalk Eye Care in Norwalk, Connecticut, in 2017. Dr. Feder’s passion for eyecare began early on, as she needed glasses and vision therapy at a young age. She experienced first hand the positive impact of an eye exam and wearing glasses, and now Dr. Feder thoroughly enjoys passing that gift on to her patients. Dr. Feder performs comprehensive full scope medical exams, contact lens fittings, refractions to prescribe glasses, LASIK consultations and pre/post operative cataract exams. She previously worked at a prestigious ophthalmology practice in New York City.
Dr. Feder graduated cum laude from the University of Richmond with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Medical Business and earned her Doctorate degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry in New York City. While at SUNY, Dr. Feder trained at both Woodhull Medical Center and East New York Diagnostic and Treatment Center working alongside a team of ocular disease experts in addition to Ezra Medical and Mental Health Center specializing in pediatrics and vision therapy.
Today, Dr. Feder is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Connecticut Association of Optometrists and the New York State Optometric Association. She has extensive training in glaucoma treatment, diagnosis and management of diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy, pediatric and binocular vision disorders and vision therapy.
When not in the office Dr. Feder enjoys snowboarding, spinning classes, and has a passion for traveling and discovering the outdoors!
