Dr. Mark S. Feder is the founder of Norwalk Eye Care and has been in private practice in Norwalk CT since 1983. Dr Feder graduated from the with a B.A. in Biology, and earned his Doctorate from the in New York City.
Dr. Feder is a member of the CT Association of Optometrists. He has been a member of the Sports Vision and Contact Lens Sections of the American Optometric Association, the International Academy of Sports Vision, and is the founder and President of IDOC, an Independent Group of Optometric Physicians with over 1400 members in the United States.and the
Dr. Feder is on the advisory board of several contact lens and pharmaceutical companies. He has conducted numerous clinical studies on and published several journal articles on various aspects of eye care. He is a consultant to many companies in the Ophthalmic industry and is a frequent lecturer on Contact Lenses and Practice Management.
Dr Jennifer Stewart joined Norwalk Eye Care in 2008. She is originally from the Hudson Valley, NY, and received her Bachelor of Science from Marist College. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA, Her professional interests and specialties include dry eye management, multifocal contact lens fitting, sports vision and LASIK co-management.
She is a member of many professional organizations including the American Optometric Association and the Connecticut Association of Optometrists. She also is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for Optometric Office, Optometry Times and Fast OD, as well as a frequent contributor to Vision Care Product News and Optometric Management. Her work has also been featured in New OD, Contact Lens Spectrum and Women in Optometry. She serves as a Professional Affiairs Consultant for Johnson and Johnson.
While at NECO, Dr Stewart founded the Sports and Performance Vision Club. She also served as a consultant to the Worldwide Performance Vision Council, a group of doctors dedicated to developing new methods of testing and training athletes, most recently Olympic athletes. Dr Stewart has had the opportunity to work with athletes from the US Olympic Track and Field team, the NY Knicks Basketball team, the Danbury Westerners minor league baseball team, various Boston College athletic teams, and Special Olympic athletes.
Dr Stewart has been named The Next Generation of Leadership as well as A Rising Star by Vision Monday. She was also voted the Best Eye Doctor in Fairfield County in 2011 by The Fairfield County Weekly, and one of The Top 40 Under 40 in 2012 by the Fairfied County Business Journal.
In her spare time, Dr Stewart trains for and competes in triathlons, half marathons and open water swim races. She is training for her first marathon in November of 2014!
